Role Overview
The Director of Revenue Cycle Management is a vital leadership position responsible for overseeing all aspects of revenue cycle operations across multiple locations. This strategic role focuses on streamlining billing, coding, collections, and payer relations to ensure timely reimbursement. It offers an exciting opportunity to influence operational efficiency and compliance within a forward-thinking organisation experiencing growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily revenue cycle activities, including patient intake, eligibility verification, coding, billing, collections, and denial management.
- Manage reimbursement processes for Medicaid and commercial payers, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Track and enhance key performance indicators such as accounts receivable days, denial rates, cash collections, and overall revenue.
- optimise workflows within electronic medical records (EMR) and revenue cycle management (RCM) systems, working closely with third-party vendors.
- Support internal and external audits, payer reviews, and compliance initiatives.
- Drive process improvements to facilitate scalable and efficient operations aligned with organisational growth.
- Collaborate with payroll and other departments to ensure billing processes are aligned with organisational objectives.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience managing revenue cycle functions within healthcare, particularly home care.
- In-depth knowledge of Medicaid and Managed Care Organisation (MCO) billing and pay rules specific to home healthcare.
- Demonstrated leadership ability with a proactive, problem-solving approach.
- Proficiency with EMR and RCM systems, with at least 7 years' experience in relevant systems management.
- Strong understanding of the financial complexities of home healthcare billing and reimbursement processes.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience with Axiscare and Axxess platforms.
- Proven ability to implement operational improvements in a multi-site setting.
- Familiarity with payer audit processes and compliance standards.
- Advanced analytical skills and experience managing large datasets.
