Job Title: Shop Technician - Rework & Assembly
Shift: 1st Shift (Monday-Friday, 7 AM - 4 PM)
Location: Kentwood, MI
Pay: Up to $20/hr.
Job Overview:
As a Shop Technician – Rework & Assembly, you will support our client's shop by repairing, assembling, and testing equipment across the company's portfolio, ensuring all products meet quality and saleable standards.
Responsibilities:
- Repair new and returned medical equipment, including lights, tables, booms, monitors, vision systems, UVC robots, warmers, washers, and other portfolio products; ensuring all items meet quality and saleable standards.
- Prepare non-conforming material for rework in accordance with OEM specifications, using work instructions, service manuals, and schematics.
- Assemble and test UVC disinfection systems according to technical blueprints, work instructions, and schematics. This includes installing electrical connectors, components, ballasts, sensors, control boards, and measuring UVC output with specialized meters.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience with light mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic work
- Ability to read and understand basic blueprints, drawings, prints, and use multi-meters
- Ability to obtain a hi-lo and picker license
- Ability to exert up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally and up to 50 lbs. frequently
