Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Shift: 2nd Shift
Pay: Up to $28/hr. based on experience
Location: Cedar Springs, MI
We are seeking an experienced 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician to perform a variety of mechanical and repair work on plant equipment. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review work orders in the system and/or follow verbal instructions from the Maintenance Supervisor to determine priorities and assignments.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production machinery and equipment, including pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines, and racking systems.
- Adjust and calibrate functional parts of devices, control systems, and instruments.
- Repair or replace defective parts and components as needed.
- Install structural and functional parts, as well as new equipment and machines.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance, including checking pumps and gearboxes, monitoring oil and hydraulic system levels, and inspecting for leaks or wear.
- Document preventive maintenance and repair activities accurately.
- Read and interpret electrical diagrams and blueprints to perform tasks effectively.
- Program and operate manufacturing machines, including PLC systems, as required.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in mechanical maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, blueprints, and PLC programming.
- Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and prioritize tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
