Job Title: Entry-Level Welder / Fabricator
Location: Hudsonville, MI
Shift: 1st Shift; 6am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday OT on Friday
Pay: $21/hr
Job Summary:
ESPEC is seeking a motivated Entry-Level Welder / Fabricator to join our team. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to start or grow a career in welding and fabrication. You will work alongside experienced team members to fabricate and assemble components while learning valuable skills in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with MIG and/or TIG welding on metal components
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
- Measure, cut, and prepare materials for fabrication
- Operate hand and power tools such as grinders, saws, and drills
- Assemble parts and components according to specifications
- Inspect finished welds and parts for quality and accuracy
- Maintain a clean and organized work area (5S standards)
- Follow all safety procedures and proper use of PPE
- Support senior welders and fabricators as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Welding certificate or technical training preferred (but not required)
- Basic knowledge of welding or fabrication is a plus
- Ability to read a tape measure and basic blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Good work ethic and reliable attendance
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 40–50 lbs
- Frequent bending, lifting, and repetitive motion
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment (heat, noise, etc.)
