Job Title: Injection Molding Process Technician
Shift: 3rd Shift
Pay: Up to $28/hr.
Location: Byron Center, MI
Job Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Injection Molding Process Technician to support 3rd shift operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for producing high-quality molded products, troubleshooting processing issues, and supporting efficient machine operation to ensure customer expectations and production goals are met.
Responsibilities:
- Perform mold changes and material changes as required
- Troubleshoot processing issues to maintain part quality and minimize downtime
- Perform part inspections and other quality-related checks to ensure conformity
- Monitor and prepare support equipment as needed
- Perform machine startups, shutdowns, and processing adjustments
- Complete process setups on various types of injection molding machines
- Communicate with the Quality Department regarding non-conforming parts and process improvement opportunities
- Ensure machine cycle times and setup parameters are accurate and optimized
- Maintain shift process logs and related production documentation
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment and support housekeeping standards
- Support continuous production by identifying and resolving processing problems quickly and effectively
Qualifications:
- 4 years of manufacturing experience required
- 4 years of Injection Mold Process Technician experience required
- Experience operating a forklift and overhead crane
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing setting
