Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will perform a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using sealed and unsealed radionuclides and specialized radiation detection equipment.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining compliance with regulatory and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform nuclear medicine procedures accurately and efficiently following department protocols
• Operate imaging and radiation detection equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
• Transfer and position patients safely for examinations and procedures
• Prepare, administer, document, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals and pharmaceuticals under physician supervision
• Perform and document quality control checks on all equipment to ensure regulatory compliance and proper functionality
• Maintain accurate records for shipping, receiving, storage, use, and disposal of radioactive materials
• Conduct room surveys, wipe tests, and bioassays according to safety guidelines
• Schedule exams and verify physician orders before procedures
• Maintain patient records and submit required documentation to medical records
• Ensure examination rooms and equipment remain clean, organized, and fully stocked
• Cross-train in additional departmental technologies as needed
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff
• Exercise independent judgment and assist in coordinating departmental activities when required
  
  

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 6 months of related Nuclear Medicine experience
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and patient care abilities
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  
  

Education Requirements

• Graduate of an AMA-approved Nuclear Medicine Technology Program
  
  

Certifications & Licensure

• CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist) or ARRT (N) Certification required
• Current CPR Certification required
