About the Role
a Procurement Specialist and play a vital role in implementing procurement strategies that drive operational excellence. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will collaborate with Category Managers and business leaders to coordinate the operational and tactical procurement of local goods and services. This includes contract implementation, category strategy execution, and supplier performance monitoring.
You will also coordinate local supplier procurement efforts within assigned product lines or geographic areas to ensure efficiency, compliance, and cost optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain close relationships with local management to anticipate procurement needs and optimize costs.
- Identify local savings opportunities in collaboration with operations.
- Ensure global and local procurement policies and procedures are communicated to end users.
- Manage RFx processes in accordance with procurement policies.
- Track supplier performance and report results through KPIs.
- Support local businesses with goods and services agreements for plant operations equipment and parts.
- Ensure locally generated savings are tracked and reported per category guidelines.
- Demonstrate a commitment to health, safety, and environmental policies and promote a culture of safety.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (Business or Engineering) or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience:
- 5 years in procurement, category management, sourcing, or operations
- Exposure to supply chain management, strategic sourcing, and procurement best practices
- Experience writing procurement contracts and understanding technical product lines
- SAP experience preferred
Technical Skills:
- Advanced computer skills
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities
Additional Requirements:
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize-approved PPE, including respirators, where applicable.
