Job Overview
Tech Electric Company is seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman to supervise and coordinate field operations on commercial, retail, and industrial electrical projects across Southeast Michigan. This role is responsible for leading crews, managing jobsite execution, and ensuring compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct teams of journeymen and apprentices on active jobsites
- Manage daily field execution for single large projects or multiple smaller projects
- Interpret and enforce National Electrical Code (NEC) and OSHA safety requirements
- Coordinate rough-in, trim, and finish electrical work
- Communicate with general contractors, clients, inspectors, and other trades
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to field personnel
- Conduct jobsite meetings, assign tasks, and monitor productivity
- Oversee jobsite safety practices and company protocols
- Read and interpret blueprints and specifications
- Manage material orders, change orders, and field documentation
Qualifications
- Valid Michigan Journeyman or Master Electrician license (required)
- Minimum 10 years of electrical field experience, including supervisory experience
- Proven ability to lead crews on commercial, retail, or industrial projects
- Strong knowledge of NEC and OSHA safety standards
- Experience managing schedules, materials, and jobsite logistics
- Professional communication skills for client and contractor interaction
- High school diploma or GED
- Reliable transportation
Schedule
- Full-Time, Monday–Friday
- On-site work at commercial and industrial project locations
- Overtime may be required based on project needs (compensated in accordance with applicable laws)
