What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Maintenance Technician position at Systematic Business Consulting?
The Electrical Maintenance Technician conducts, maintains, tests, and repairs electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components. The position applies knowledge of electrical/electronic, and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation. The electronics technician provides skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas of the plant.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment to minimize downtime
-Work with automation systems including PLCs, VFDs, and HMIs to maintain and improve operations
-Install and maintain electrical systems, including wiring, conduit, and control cabinets
-Perform preventive maintenance and maintain accurate records of equipment performance
-Support operators and production teams by identifying and resolving equipment-related issues
REQUIREMENTS:
-Associate degree or technical training with 3–5 years of experience in industrial maintenance or electronics
-3 years of experience troubleshooting electrical and automation systems, including PLCs and drives
-3 years of experience working with industrial voltages (480VAC, 120VAC, 24VDC)
-2 years of experience using diagnostic tools and reading electrical schematics
PREFERRED:
-Experience working with Allen-Bradley PLC systems and industrial automation equipment
-Familiarity with VFD and HMI programming and installation
-Experience in a high-volume or continuous manufacturing environment
-Exposure to preventive maintenance systems and documentation practices
-Ability to train or mentor other maintenance or technical staff
