What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bookkeeper position at Synergy Staffing?
Responsibilities -
Bookkeeping & Finance:
- Maintain accurate financial records and support the financial operations of the organization using QuickBooks Desktop.
- Record all financial transactions including vendor invoices, payables, journal entries, cash disbursements and inventory management utilizing QuickBooks.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations for multiple accounts.
- Generate monthly financial statements for management review.
- Ensure confidentiality and accuracy in all financial matters.
Logistics & Administrative Support:
- Prepare and issue customer contracts.
- Coordinate shipments with suppliers, carriers and customers.
- Communicate with freight brokers, warehouses and logistics partners.
- Provide general administrative support, including document management and shipment tracking.
- Resolve customer inquiries and ensure excellent service.
Qualifications:
- Proven bookkeeping experience (3 years of QuickBooks Desktop required).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Adobe Acrobat.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Professional communication skills, both written and verbal
Work Location: In person Mon – Thurs and remote on Friday's (after training)
