Bookkeeper - Small Law Firm
Location: Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania
Position Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: Starting at $40,000 annually (commensurate with experience)

We're seeking a detail-oriented and reliable administrative assistant/bookkeeper to join our team and manage both our financial operations and key administrative functions.
Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced professional to handle both bookkeeping and administrative responsibilities for our firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality while managing multiple priorities independently.
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping Duties:
- Maintain accurate financial records including accounts payable and receivable
- Process payroll and manage employee benefits administration
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly
- Manage client trust accounts in compliance with Pennsylvania Rules of Professional Conduct
- Coordinate with external accountants, vendors, and service providers
- Generate invoices and manage client billing
- Track and record all financial transactions using accounting software
- Prepare monthly financial reports for firm management
- Assist with quarterly and annual tax preparation
- Process expense reports and maintain petty cash
- Monitor cash flow and alert management to any concerns
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum 2-3 years of bookkeeping experience
- Prior administrative or office management experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional customer service abilities
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite

Preferred:
- Experience in legal or professional services environment
- Familiarity with legal trust accounting requirements
- Knowledge of legal practice management software
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field

Work Schedule
