Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. Working knowledge of QuickBooks is required. The Bookkeeper will support the financial operations by maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, payroll duties, and handling basic bookkeeping tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of general accounting practices and excellent organizational skills.
Duties:
- Maintain financial records by accurately recording day-to-day financial transactions.
- Process invoices, receipts, and payments in a timely manner.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Prepare financial reports and summaries.
- Support the office staff in various accounting tasks as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and adhere to company policies.
-Enter and process weekly payrolls.
-Process certified payrolls and union remittances.
-Answering phones.
Skills:
- Experience with certified payrolls preferred
- Proficiency in computerized accounting systems (QuickBooks and CTR).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
- Basic knowledge of bookkeeping principles.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of order entry processes and phone etiquette is advantageous.
