Assistant Store Manager

As the Assistant Store Manager, you will work closely with the Store Director to drive daily execution, uphold high standards, and create a positive, high-performing store culture.
What You’ll Do
- Support the Store Director in leading day-to-day store operations across all departments
- Help create a fresh, in-stock, and easy-to-shop environment that exceeds guest expectations
- Drive execution around merchandising, inventory, and store conditions
- Assist in managing inventory levels, ordering, and shrink control
- Lead from the floor—coaching, developing, and supporting team members in real time
- Help build a culture centered around accountability, teamwork, and hospitality
- Partner with department leaders to ensure consistent execution and cross-functional support
- Step in to support front-end operations, including customer service, issue resolution, and register coverage when needed
- Assist with scheduling, hiring, training, and performance management
- Support execution of special orders, catering, and seasonal initiatives
- Ensure compliance with food safety, cleanliness, and operational standards
- Act as Manager-on-Duty, including opening and closing responsibilities
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in grocery or high-volume retail leadership (Assistant Manager, Department Manager, or similar)
- Strong passion for people development, fresh product, and store presentation
- Hands-on leadership style with a sense of urgency and ownership mindset
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while staying focused on execution
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable supporting front-end, back-of-house, and team leadership functions
- Working knowledge of inventory control, labor management, and store operations
- Food safety knowledge with ability to maintain required certifications

Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
