Grounds Worker (Fall 2026)

SUNY Delhi is seeking a hardworking, dependable student with prior landscaping experience to assist our Grounds Department.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Push mowing and weed whacking of green areas

• Mulching and weeding in plant beds

• Cleans smoking gazebos

• Assists in the cleaning, greasing and maintenance of grounds equipment

• Assists the movers' positions with daily tasks when needed

• Assists with snow and ice control by shoveling, operating snow blowers and applying ice melt where there is little to no access with vehicles.

• 
  Have and maintain a minimum of 2.00 cumulative GPA.

• Be in good judicial standing with the College.

• Must be a current SUNY Delhi student enrolled full time in classes for the 2026-2027 academic year.

• Must have references.

• Valid driver's license.

• Applicants must be reachable after hours for these duties as well.

Preferred requirements:

• Experience with landscaping practices and equipment common to grounds maintenance.
