Motor Vehicle Operator (s) (Bus Driver)

SUNY Delhi seeks a safety conscience and engaging Motor Vehicle Operator (MVO) (Bus Driver) to join the Transportation Department. The Motor Vehicle Operator (MVO) - Bus Driver is responsible for:

• The daily inspection of the bus(s) and will communicate deficiencies to the supervisor, or request a work order to correct concerns.
• Fueling the bus, checking all fluids, pressures, and adding fluids as needed.
• Maintaining records that include daily passenger logs and maintenance schedules.
• Cleaning the bus daily.
• Picking up and delivering students and campus staff to scheduled stops, such as off-site construction project sites, the local hospital, SUNY Delhi Health Center, lower campus, and other approved locations.
• Other duties assigned when not performing transportation duties

Minimum Qualifications for the position are:

• Must have an unrestricted NYS Drivers license
• CDL-Passenger Endorsement

Preferred Qualifications:

• Basic First Aid Certified

• Obligation: Mid-May through mid-August. Work with facilities while classes are not in session.
