About the Role
The Studio Manager’s first and most important responsibility is to lead the studio to reach its monthly sales goal.
This role is responsible for increasing studio sales, managing and coaching the team, improving client experience, and ensuring daily operations run smoothly. The Studio Manager should be hands-on, present in the studio, and able to lead the team with clear goals, accountability, and care.
Key Goals
- Lead the studio to meet or exceed its monthly sales goal
- Increase total studio revenue through services, retail products, packages, memberships, rebooking, and thoughtful service upgrades
- Help product retail sales reach 15% of total studio revenue
- Improve team performance through coaching, training, and accountability
- Increase client retention, rebooking, average ticket, and overall client satisfaction
- Maintain strong daily operations and uphold sundays brand standards
Monthly Bonus Opportunity
The Studio Manager will be eligible for a monthly performance bonus ranging from $500 to $2,000, based on studio sales performance and overall execution.
Bonus consideration will be based on:
- Whether the studio meets or exceeds its monthly sales goal
- Growth in total studio revenue
- Retail product sales performance
- Rebooking, client retention, and average ticket growth
- Team coaching and training
- Client experience and operational standards
Monthly goals will be set by leadership and reviewed after finalized monthly sales reports. Bonus payout is not guaranteed and will be based on overall studio performance and manager execution.
Responsibilities
Sales & Studio Performance
- Lead the studio team to reach monthly sales goals
- Drive sales of services, retail products, packages, and memberships
- Coach the team on rebooking, service upgrades, and product recommendations
- Track key performance metrics, including revenue, average ticket, utilization, rebooking, retail sales, and client retention
- Partner with Marketing and Operations on events, local outreach, and initiatives that drive new clients and studio traffic
Team Leadership
- Lead, support, and coach Front Desk team members and Nail Specialists
- Set clear daily expectations through opening Team Talks, shift check-ins, and follow-up
- Provide regular feedback and training to improve team performance
- Hold team members accountable when expectations are not met
- Support a positive, respectful, and high-performing studio culture
Daily Operations
- Oversee daily studio operations to ensure the location runs smoothly
- Manage schedule flow, team coverage, breaks, and service execution
- Ensure studio processes are followed accurately, including booking, checkout, client profiles, inventory, payroll support, and opening/closing procedures
- Maintain studio cleanliness, organization, and brand standards
- Communicate operational issues clearly to leadership
Client Experience
- Ensure every client receives a warm, consistent, and elevated sundays experience
- Address client feedback and concerns professionally
- Support the team in service recovery and client communication
- Make sure the studio experience reflects sundays’ clean beauty, wellness, and care-driven philosophy
Schedule Expectations
This is a full-time, hourly leadership role. The Studio Manager is expected to work 40 hours per week, with at least 35 hours per week in the assigned studio.
Up to 5 hours per week may be completed from home for administrative work, including reporting, schedule planning, payroll review, team follow-up, performance tracking, and training preparation.
The schedule may include weekends, peak service hours, and other key business times based on studio needs. Any overtime must be approved in advance.
Who You Are
- 3–5 years of experience in studio, retail, hospitality, beauty, wellness, or service-based management
- Strong ability to lead a team toward sales and performance goals
- Comfortable working with numbers, sales goals, and daily performance metrics
- Hands-on, organized, and client-focused
- Strong communication and coaching skills
- Able to hold the team accountable while creating a supportive work environment
