Job Purpose:
The Elementary Music Teacher at Summit Christian Academy is responsible for providing a nurturing and faith-based educational environment for students in grades 4-6. The teacher will facilitate learning and spiritual growth, ensuring that students not only achieve academic excellence but also develop a strong foundation in Christian values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the Christian values and educational standards of Summit Christian Academy.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages students to grow academically, socially, and spiritually.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods and materials to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to ensure continued growth in both faith and academics.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to support the holistic development of students.
- Participate in school events, activities, and professional development opportunities to further the mission and vision of Summit Christian Academy.
- Uphold and model Christian principles in all interactions with students, staff, and the community.
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
Required Experience:
- Proven experience teaching at the elementary level, preferably within a K-6 setting
- Experience working in a Christian school environment or a similar faith-based educational setting
- Demonstrated ability to foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that supports students' academic and spiritual growth
