Regional Sales Director
Location: Portland, Oregon | Remote with Regional Travel
Position Summary
The Regional Sales Director is responsible for driving all sales activities within an assigned territory, including prospecting, forecasting, business development, distributor engagement, contractor relationships, and repeat business growth. This is a highly relationship-driven, field-focused sales role requiring strong communication skills, confidence in cold-calling, and the ability to work independently while maintaining consistent face-to-face customer engagement throughout the territory.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Own all sales activities within the assigned territory
- Prospect, develop, and secure new business opportunities
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing distributor partners and contractor accounts
- Generate repeat business through ongoing customer engagement
- Conduct cold-calling and proactive business development outreach
- Follow up on leads, opportunities, and prior customer interactions
Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, contractors, property owners, and service teams
- Conduct professional meetings with Owners, General Managers, and leadership teams
- Collaborate closely with wholesale Territory Managers
- Plan and execute successful ride-days and joint field calls
Training & Field Engagement
- Conduct daily product and sales trainings with contractor partners
- Work directly with service technicians and Comfort Consultants
- Perform field demonstrations, presentations, and customer meetings
- Maintain strong product knowledge and effectively communicate customer value
Reporting & Forecasting
- Maintain CRM activity and pipeline reporting
- Submit weekly activity and call reports
- Provide monthly regional sales forecasting
- Track customer activity, opportunities, and sales metrics
Required Qualifications
- Proven B2B or in-home sales experience
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Excellent relationship-building and customer service abilities
- Strong follow-up and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Comfortable with frequent regional travel and customer-facing interaction
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within HVAC, plumbing, construction, building products, or related trades
- Experience calling on contractors, distributors, or service organizations
- Experience working within distributor and contractor networks
- CRM and pipeline management experience
- Experience conducting trainings, demos, or field engagement activities
