Stevens Realty LLC is looking for a skilled, dependable, and experienced independent contractor Handyman to service our residential rental properties. The ideal candidate must have their own reliable vehicle, tools, and equipment and be capable of completing a variety of residential repairs and maintenance tasks independently.
We are seeking a professional who takes pride in quality workmanship, communicates promptly, and completes approved work orders efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Perform general residential repairs, including carpentry, painting, plumbing, and minor electrical work within applicable licensing requirements.
- Diagnose maintenance issues and recommend appropriate repair solutions.
- Install and repair fixtures, appliances, and household components.
- Inspect properties and identify potential maintenance concerns.
- Submit estimates for approval before starting any work.
- Complete approved work orders and submit before-and-after photos and required documentation.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Communicate updates regarding job progress, materials, and additional repairs.
- Follow applicable safety standards and local regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a handyman or residential maintenance contractor.
- Must own and provide a reliable vehicle for travel between properties.
- Must own and provide all necessary tools, power tools, and equipment for assigned jobs.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Professional communication and reliable follow-through.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Appropriate licenses and insurance for work requiring them.
- Ability to provide a completed W-9.
Compensation
- Payment is based on approved estimates and completed work orders, not hourly wages.
- All work must be approved before repairs begin.
- Materials and labor will be handled according to the approved estimate.
