A large-scale, nationally recognized organization is hiring a Director of Accounting to join its corporate accounting leadership team. The Opportunity:
This position will lead core accounting and reporting functions, including month-end close, financial statement preparation, balance sheet management, cash flow reporting, and technical accounting research. The role will also oversee audit support, internal controls, and cross-functional reporting initiatives while mentoring and developing a growing accounting team.
What You’ll Do:
• Lead the monthly close and financial reporting processes
• Prepare and support quarterly accounting memos and MD&A updates
• Oversee technical accounting research and implementation of US GAAP guidance
• Review ASC 842 lease accounting processes and reporting
• Manage consolidations, intercompany eliminations, and balance sheet oversight
• Support external audits, internal controls, and special projects
• Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies across accounting functions
• Lead and develop a team of accounting professionals in a fast-paced environment
Ideal Background:
• CPA with 7 years of progressive accounting experience
• Foundation in public accounting (Big 4 or national firm preferred)
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting experience
• Experience in a multi-entity or complex reporting environment
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to mentor and develop teams
• Adaptable, solutions-driven, and comfortable navigating changing priorities
