StevenDouglas is partnering with a publicly traded media organization in their search for a Financial Reporting Manager. This position is based in the Bethesda, Maryland area and requires three days onsite with no exceptions.
Reporting directly to the Assistant Controller, the Financial Reporting Manager will act as SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting expert for the company. This person will be responsible for all SEC Reporting, ensuring compliance with GAAP regulations, and provide technical accounting guidance on all transactions. This is a high visibility role where the Financial Reporting Manager will be responsible for strategic input on all of the company's activities that could materially affect compliance with GAAP

Requirement
- CPA and Public Accounting Experience
- Strong Knowledge of SEC Reporting Requirements and US GA
- Experience Researching and Implementing Accounting Pronouncements (ASC 842, ASC 718, etc.)
- Mastery of Financial Systems (Workiva and Excel primarily
