We are seeking a EDI Developer to maintain and advance our health insurance claims processing system (ACAPS). In this position, you will manage the full lifecycle of claims-from ingestion and database loading to adjudication and transmission-ensuring alignment with state and national pricing standards.
Logistics & Process
- Location: Indianapolis, IN (Local candidates only)
- Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
- Interview Process: Initial technical interview via Teams; final interview via Teams or In-Person.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Core Responsibilities
- EDI Management: Maintain claims processing lifecycles and ensure accurate file exchanges with external trading partners.
- System Migration: Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) during the transition and rewrite of the claims system into .NET.
- Technical Documentation: Review and update documentation for EDI transactions and claims processes.
- Onboarding & Support: Assist in onboarding new healthcare providers and clearinghouses, while providing high-level helpdesk support for EDI transactions.
- Collaboration: Partner with developers, PMs, and business analysts to translate complex business requirements into technical specifications.
Key Skills & Requirements
- EDI Expertise: 5 years of experience with EDI file formats (837, 835, 210).
- Database Proficiency: 5 years of experience with SQL and database management.
- Compliance: Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and standards.
- Troubleshooting: Proven ability to resolve complex data transmission conflicts and system issues.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills to bridge the gap between technical teams and functional stakeholders.
- Preferred: Experience with IBM WebSphere (WTX) and prior work in the Healthcare Industry.
