We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented EDI Developer to join our innovative IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) solutions that facilitate seamless data exchange between our systems and external partners. Your expertise will drive the efficiency of our supply chain, order processing, and business integrations through robust system design and solution architecture. - Develop, test, and implement EDI mappings and workflows using industry-standard tools and protocols to support business processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable EDI solutions aligned with service-oriented architecture principles.
- Maintain and enhance existing EDI integrations, troubleshooting issues related to data formats such as X12, EDIFACT, or XML.
- Design and optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for efficient data transfer across systems including Salesforce, Pegasystems, and cloud platforms like AWS.
- Ensure system security by implementing best practices in cloud security, network security (VPNs, firewalls), and system hardening techniques.
- Monitor system performance using load balancing strategies and vulnerability management tools to proactively identify potential threats or bottlenecks.
- Support continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for seamless updates in a DevOps environment utilizing tools like Jenkins or Git.
- Document technical specifications, system architecture diagrams, and operational procedures for compliance and knowledge sharing.
- Proven experience in developing and maintaining EDI solutions within a service-oriented architecture environment.
- Strong knowledge of solution architecture principles combined with expertise in system design and systems engineering.
- Hands-on experience with ETL processes, SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server), NoSQL databases, and scripting languages such as Python or Shell Scripting.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms including AWS or Azure, along with virtualization technologies like VMware or ESXi.
- Deep understanding of computer networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP, VPNs, load balancing, firewalls, and network security protocols.
- Proficiency in programming languages including JavaScript, C#, Java, C , Ruby on Rails or .NET frameworks; experience with RESTful APIs and web services is essential.
- Knowledge of operating systems including Windows and Linux/Unix environments; experience with system administration tasks is preferred.
- Experience working within Agile methodologies using tools like Jenkins for CI/CD pipelines; familiarity with GPO (Group Policy Objects) is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills in vulnerability assessment, threat intelligence, system hardening techniques, and information security best practices.
