Unit Manager - Short-Term Rehabilitation (STR) Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the Short-Term Rehabilitation unit.
- Supervise and support nursing staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality resident care.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other interdisciplinary team members.
- Coordinate and implement individualized resident care plans.
- Monitor resident assessments, treatments, and clinical outcomes.
- Ensure care is delivered in accordance with facility protocols and safe nursing practices.
- Participate in admissions, discharges, and care transitions.
- Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and facility regulations.
- Provide leadership, guidance, mentoring, and support to nursing staff.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance monitoring.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
- Foster a collaborative, team-oriented, and resident-focused environment.
- Current, active, and unrestricted Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Previous leadership, supervisory, or unit management experience preferred.
- Experience in short-term rehabilitation, skilled nursing, subacute rehabilitation, or long-term care preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
- Knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
