Duties
- Operate laundry machines such as washers, dryers, and specialty equipment to process linens, towels, uniforms, and guest clothing with precision and care
- Sort laundry items by type, color, and cleaning requirements to ensure optimal results
- Perform dry cleaning services for delicate fabrics or special items as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area by regularly sanitizing equipment and work surfaces
- Fold, package, and organize clean linens for distribution to various hotel departments or guest rooms
- Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies and notify management when restocking is required
- Follow safety protocols and proper handling procedures for chemicals used in cleaning processes
Requirements
- Prior experience in laundry services or cleaning roles is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Knowledge of laundry operations including washing, drying, folding, and dry cleaning techniques
- Strong attention to detail to ensure all items are cleaned thoroughly and correctly sorted
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy loads of linens or supplies
- Excellent organizational skills with a focus on efficiency and quality control
- Previous hotel experience is a plus but not mandatory; a positive attitude and eagerness to learn are essential
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors
