What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laundry Attendant position at Holiday Inn Express & Suites West?
Cleans and prepares hotel linens in accordance with established standards to assure guest satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Sort, pre-treat, wash, dry, press, and fold hotel linens to departments as needed
- May require two night shifts per week, depending on occupancy.
- Ensure washers and dryers operate properly, and informs management or maintenance of any malfunctions or problems
- Maintain linen cart and supplies in a neat and organized manner
- Respond to requests from hotel staff in a timely and efficient manner
- Maintain security of equipment, keys and supplies issued each day
- Make certain that the laundry area is kept clean and is well maintained
- Maintain a professional image through appearance and dress
- Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year of work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Basic knowledge of general laundry cleaning principles, use of laundry products, and operation of standard laundry equipment.
- Must be available Sunday, Monday and Tuesday
