Why does the job exist?
Incumbent will provide secretarial/receptionist support to the Community Base Services (CBS) division which includes obtaining and verifying insurance coverage and financial information each time a client presents for a scheduled appointment, assisting with scheduling of appointments, answering incoming calls, and other duties as assigned.
How does it get done?
Incumbent will be responsible for not limited to create computer generated scheduling for approximately 15 clinicians coding services and data entry ensuring that all services are correctly entered. Crisis notes which are the clinical written documents that are produced by clinicians in the provision of a 24-hour billable service that are entered into AVATAR for reimbursement. Obtain/verify insurance coverage and financial information for all individuals presenting for services daily and make copies of insurance cards. Answer telephones, provide information and relay messages to staff; direct to requested staff; report any equipment or facility maintenance problems to appropriate facility divisions.

Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending, and reaching may be required. Direct client interaction and some travel may be required.
