Description
The Education and Labor Cabinet’s Department of Disability Determination Services Programs (DDDSP) assists and determines eligibility for Social Security Administration Disability benefits for the citizens in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
We are seeking a Human Services Program Branch Manager in Case Processing Branch B of the Division of Case Processing to supervise employees and coordinate the administration of all programs and services of the branch.
This is a federally funded time-limited (FFTL) position. This means it is a position that is paid entirely as the result of a federal grant. The duration of employment shall not exceed the life of the federal grant that funds the position. An employee appointed to an FFTL position is required to meet the minimum requirements for the classification. Further, an employee appointed to an FFTL position is designated as an unclassified (non-merit) employee. An FFTL employee is eligible to receive benefits at the same level as a classified (merit) employee in a permanent position.

- Perform administrative duties related to personnel to include counseling, evaluating, and disciplining as well as conducting meetings and interviewing new staff.
- Oversee and manage the branch’s workload, utilizing computer-based environment for information gathering and recoding, as well as overall communication.
- Work as a member of the department management team defining goals and solving problems and recognizing achievements and accomplishments.
- Develop, interpret, and enforce rules, policies, and procedures relating to branch, agency, and program operations.

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Five years of professional experience in the administration of human services programs, emergency management services, emergency medical technician, paramedic, or related field.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: A master's degree in social work, health administration, labor relations, public or business administration or related field will substitute for one year of the required experience.
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Administrative or business experience, or professional, subprofessional, or clerical work in a human services area, emergency management services, emergency medical technician, paramedic, or related field will substitute for the required education on a year- for-year basis.
