The Inventory Allocation Specialist will oversee inventory distribution across multiple locations, monitor reserves, manage backorders, and ensure accurate inventory records within ERP systems.

- Manage and maintain inventory allocation to support sales demand and operational efficiency
- Accurately monitor inventory reserves and generate/report on allocation activity
- Allocate carpet and rug inventory across multiple locations based on demand and availability
- Post and manage backorders, ensuring timely fulfillment and updates
- Receive and process general supply purchase orders
- Perform daily inventory adjustments across multiple locations (including large-scale location networks)
- Review and reconcile deductions from lot cutting reports
- Collaborate with internal departments (sales, operations, purchasing) to align on inventory needs
- Provide dedicated support to showrooms and internal associates for inventory and reserve inquiries via phone and email
- Maintain accurate inventory records within ERP systems
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in inventory data
- Assist with reporting, analysis, and continuous improvement of inventory processes
- Remain flexible to take on additional responsibilities as business needs evolve
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1–3 years of experience in inventory management, allocation, or supply chain operations preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Experience working with ERP or inventory management systems
- Strong computer and data entry skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of inventory allocation strategies and demand planning concepts
