Staffmax Healthcare is seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for an acute care travel assignment in Kalispell, MT. This role is ideal for a medical SLP with strong experience supporting high-acuity, medically complex adult inpatient patients, including ICU-level cases.
Compensation Highlights

- $1,501.96 Weekly Tax-Free Stipends

Schedule
- 10-Hour Variable Shifts
- 36 hours guaranteed
- Contract Length: 13 Weeks
- No call
- Holiday coverage based on unit needs
What You’ll Do
- Complete evaluations and treatments for swallowing, cognition, speech, and language
- Support adult inpatient units including MedSurg, PCU, and ICU
- Treat patients with neurogenic disorders, head and neck cancers, pulmonary/GI disorders, cognitive-communication needs, and swallowing disorders
- Manage an average daily caseload of approximately 9 patients per SLP
- Float between units based on patient care needs
- Document care using Meditech
Required Experience
- 3 years as a medical Speech Language Pathologist – Required
- Acute care experience – Required
- ICU-level patient experience – Required
- Must be comfortable with high-acuity and medically complex cases
- Experience with adult inpatient evaluations and treatment
Requirements
- BLS Certification – Required
- MBSiMP / MBSS experience – Required
- Strong skills in swallowing, cognition, speech, and language therapy
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with PT, SLP team members, and department leadership
Float Requirements
Must be willing to float to:
- ICU
- PCU
- ACU
- Surgical units

- Orientation: NEO plus 1–3 days with preceptor, depending on experience
