This is not a remote role. Applicants must be able to report to work on time as scheduled.

Position: Line Cook

Location: Kaimuki, HI

Pay: This position has a fixed rate of $20/hour

Experience: 6 months of line cook experience in a similar role preferred.

Type: Full-time; Contract

Schedule: Dinner Shift, 3:00pm to 10:30pm

Staffing Solutions of Hawaii is seeking a Line Cook to join a growing and dynamic team!

Job Description

• Use your knife skills to provide standard cuts and sizes and consistent portioning.
• Sauté, roast, grill, fry, steam, and blanch various foods.
• Assist with food prep, including cutting, chopping, mixing, and sauce preparation.
• Maintain prep sheets, labeling, dating, and proper food storage.
• Assist with prep and utility duties while working on a team.
• Manage tasks efficiently during service and maintain an organized workstation.
• Efficiently work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Follow directions and communicate well with the kitchen team.
  
  

Position Requirements

• Understanding of food safety and sanitation per Hawaii State Department of Health guidelines.
• Proficiency in knife skills and fundamental cooking methods.
• Basic understanding of meat, poultry, and fish butchery.
• Ability to cut consistent portion sizes.
• Must possess a current TB clearance.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. and wear non-slip shoes.
• Comfortable in hot and humid environments for extended periods.
