What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warranty Manager position at StaffBright?
StaffBright is supporting a major global Tier‑1 automotive supplier in the Grand Blanc area. We’re searching for a high‑caliber Warranty Manager who can lead a fast‑paced team, manage complex OEM relationships, and take ownership of warranty performance across a large portfolio of customer programs.

What You Will Be Doing
- Lead and develop a team of 6 (3 Warranty Engineers 3 Warranty Technicians)
- Serve as the senior escalation point for all warranty issues
- Manage high-volume OEM accounts across the Big 3, German OEMs, JOEMs, and Tier‑1 customers
- Oversee warranty operations, response timing, and customer scorecard performance
- Drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, and FMEA updates
- Navigate OEM portals including PRAS , EWT, WIS, PartLink, PRTS, Covisint
- Partner with engineering, supplier quality, and manufacturing to close open issues
- Lead customer-facing discussions, reviews, and escalations — customers will be onsite frequently
- Support closure of longstanding warranty cases (5–9 years old)
- Provide leadership presence on programs with active warranty concerns (including current Stellantis issue)
- Ensure team accountability, performance management, and continuous improvement
- Drive metrics such as yield loss, cost per unit, incidents, repairs per 1000 vehicles, liability cost, and more
What We Need From You
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience
- Must currently hold a Manager title and/or manage 3 direct reports
- Strong background in Tier‑1 automotive warranty within a plant environment
- Experience supporting multiple OEMs simultaneously in a high-volume setting
- Highly proficient in FMEA, RCA, 8D, 5Y, corrective actions, and problem-solving
- Strong experience with OEM portals and customer-specific requirements
- Ability to manage a team that has experienced turnover and needs strong leadership
- Excellent customer-facing communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pace, high-pressure environment
- Positive attitude, strong mindset, and ability to influence culture
Preferred Experience
- ASQ Quality Engineer Certification (or willingness to obtain by 2027 — exam cost covered once)
- Experience supporting Stellantis and/or Toyota warranty
- Background with electrical components, PCBs, SMT, semiconductors, vision systems
- Experience in Tier‑1 electronics suppliers such as Yazaki, Continental, TE Connectivity, Casco, Lear, Delphi, Coastal
