Senior Accountant

Currently, StaffBright has an exciting opportunity with a growing and financially stable organization near Farmington Hills, MI. We're seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys financial analysis, reporting, process improvement, and partnering with business leaders to drive informed decision-making.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to expand their accounting expertise while gaining exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial initiatives within a collaborative environment

This position offers a highly flexible hybrid schedule, with the team coming into the office once or twice per month and working the remainder of the time remotely.

What You Will Be Doing

• Prepare and analyze journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity
• Support month-end and year-end close processes in a deadline-driven environment
• Analyze financial results and investigate account variances
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
• Prepare financial reports and analyses for management
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies and procedures
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies
• Support special projects and ad hoc financial analyses as needed
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold internal controls and compliance standards

What We Need From You

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance & CPA
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close activities
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and lookup functions
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
