Job Title: VMware Aria Engineer

Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (On-Site)

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced VMware Aria Engineer to support enterprise monitoring and event management platforms within a highly regulated environment. Our team is looking for a technically strong professional who can help maintain platform stability, improve operational efficiency, and support lifecycle activities across complex VMware and automation environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support for enterprise VMware Aria and VCF Foundation platforms.
• Lead incident, problem, and change management activities, including troubleshooting platform outages, performance issues, and integration failures.
• Execute platform upgrades, patching, lifecycle management, capacity planning, health assessments, and performance tuning.
• Develop automation solutions, maintain operational documentation and runbooks, and collaborate with infrastructure, security, application, and engineering teams.
  
  

Required

• 5 years of experience supporting and administering large-scale VMware Aria Operations environments, including extra-large nodes in active-warm cluster configurations across multiple datacenters.
• 3 years of experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) Foundation components and operations.
• Strong experience managing and troubleshooting vCenter Server, ESXi, clusters, resource pools, and distributed networking.
• Hands-on experience with VMware Aria Operations, Aria Suite Lifecycle, Aria Operations for Networks, and Aria Automation preferred.
• Hands-on Ansible experience for infrastructure automation, configuration management, and operational tasks, plus working knowledge of Linux administration with RHEL preferred.
• Experience in enterprise environments with strict security and compliance requirements, along with familiarity with ServiceNow, Jira, Archer, and scripting in PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Perl.
