Lead HRSG Project Engineer
The Lead HRSG Project Engineer is responsible for providing technical leadership and project-level engineering support for Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) projects. This role serves as the primary technical interface between customers, EPC partners, and internal engineering teams to ensure contract compliance, resolve technical issues, and support successful project execution.
Reporting to the Project Engineering Leader (Americas), this position drives coordination across engineering, supply chain, project management, and field teams while promoting continuous improvement and risk mitigation throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for HRSG-related customer inquiries, scope changes, and issue resolution
- Coordinate engineering activities across internal teams, EPC partners, and suppliers
- Review contract requirements and ensure alignment across design and execution teams
- Lead customer-facing technical meetings, including kickoffs and design reviews
- Evaluate scope changes for cost and schedule impact and support change management processes
- Identify risks, resolve technical challenges, and prevent schedule or delivery delays
- Manage engineering budgets and provide regular cost forecasts
- Support manufacturing, sourcing, installation, and field teams to ensure technical compliance
- Capture lessons learned and drive improvements back into engineering organizations
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering OR high school diploma/GED with 5 years of relevant experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Project, Design, or Field Engineering related to HRSG projects
- Knowledge of power generation systems; steam generation experience preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Customer-facing engineering experience
- Familiarity with GTCC or PLM tools
- Experience with plant system design, manufacturing, installation, or testing
- Strong problem-solving skills and continuous improvement mindset
Additional Details
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; minimum 3 days per week onsite
- Travel: Domestic travel up to 10–15% (typically short, infrequent trips)
Salary : $60 - $69
