DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
The Construction Manager is a key part of the fulfillment of the promises we make to our customers. The company’s brand and customer experience rely on the proper execution of the responsibilities of this role.
The Construction Manager oversees the daily building process from start to finish of specific construction projects. Working closely with the team on site (internal and external partners), establishes timetables and assists with determining labor and material costs. They are also responsible for ensuring the project is executed according to the Project Plan laid out by the Project Management Team. All while ensuring the highest degree of productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities of the Construction Manager are:
- Manage multiple sites simultaneously, meeting scheduling goals and maintaining a high quality of standard including a clean, organized and professional presentation of work sites.
- Create an exceptional client experience, exceeding client expectations and monitoring all Subcontractors and Vendors for appropriate and professional communication and behavior.
- Ensure projects are built according to approved plans, specifications, shop drawings and applicable building codes.
- Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, schedules, Purchase Orders and Change Orders for the Project Management Office.
- Develop and maintain schedules with the Project Team to meet milestones and completion dates.
- Maintain strong working relationships with vendors, interior designers, inspectors, engineers and architects. Ensuring timely inspections, compliance with building codes, QA/QC and company standards.
- Attend and provide input at Project Meetings with multiple stakeholders, anticipate stakeholder needs, and proactively identify solutions to support ongoing projects.
- Lead Project Teams to identify and manage opportunities and risks to achieve the best possible results for scope, quality, schedule, and financial targets through providing clear direction to team members.
- Manage the procurement process, maintain, track and report the construction process.
- Lead homeowner orientations and manage the post-clos process, including punch list execution, trade coordination and customer satisfaction.
- Support Project Team through coaching, professional development, Team Meetings and Goal Setting Meetings.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Have a strong passion for building and learning
- Experience with energy efficient building technology, techniques and their applications
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Proven working experience in jobsite management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of NC and SC building codes and regulations
- Experience with JobTread or similar construction project management software
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in the residential custom construction industry
- Valid Drivers License and dependable vehicle
- We require background checks and drug testing
Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
