Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Restaurant Host/Host to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will be responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience. This role is vital in setting the tone for our restaurant’s hospitality and ensuring smooth seating operations. Previous host/host experience, excellent communication skills, and a passion for customer service are highly valued.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage guest check-in procedures
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus, answering any initial questions about the menu or restaurant policies
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand area
- Handle phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette and assist with reservation bookings or inquiries
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service flow
- Assist with guest relations by addressing guest needs or concerns promptly and courteously
- Support overall restaurant operations by maintaining a hospitable environment and ensuring guest satisfaction
- Manage take out order and online ordering by using Clover POS system and other platforms such as Doordash, UberEats
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a host/host or in food service is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse guests
- Knowledge of restaurant Clover POS system is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and guest relations
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Hospitality or hotel experience is advantageous but not required
- Friendly demeanor with a professional appearance and attitude
- Previous experience in serving or guest services is beneficial

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
