Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to oversee daily operations of our bar and beverage services. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of food and beverage management, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing staff, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests. The Bar Manager will play a key role in driving sales, controlling inventory, and elevating the overall guest experience in a fast-paced hospitality setting.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate all bar operations, including food preparation, drink service, and customer interactions
- Oversee inventory control, ordering supplies, and managing stock levels
- Train, mentor, and evaluate staff on food handling, customer service, and safety procedures
- Manage shift schedules to ensure proper staffing levels for efficient service during peak hours
- Handle cash transactions accurately and perform cash handling duties
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation
- Develop menus in collaboration with culinary teams, incorporating culinary experience and beverage trends
- Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to increase revenue
- Coordinate with kitchen management for food production, catering events, banquets, or special functions
- Lead staff interviews, hiring processes, and ongoing training & development initiatives
- Maintain a positive environment that promotes teamwork, hospitality excellence, and guest satisfaction
Qualifications
- Proven management experience in food service or restaurant management roles; supervising experience preferred
- Extensive knowledge of the food industry including food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Experience with Clover POS system; cash handling expertise required
- Background in fine dining or casual dining environments; banquet or catering experience is a plus
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train & develop staff effectively
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality management
- Ability to manage shift schedules efficiently within a quick service & fast food restaurant environment
- Culinary experience or kitchen management background is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food handling regulations and food safety protocols
- Previous experience in hotel or bar settings including barista or coffee experience is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, inventory control, and food & beverage operations
