Department Overview:
Computed Tomography is at our Union, Cherokee, Spartanburg, and Pelham Facilities. Our Institution includes five hospitals and two outpatient centers that provide diagnostic CT scans to the surrounding counties. We have a total of Fourteen CT scanners located across the system. The GE Apex CT Scanner is in the Heart Center at our Church Street Spartanburg location. We are providing superb Cardiac Imaging by providing Coronary CTAs and TAVR Scans, which helps the Cardiologist provide life changing care to Cardiac patients in the surrounding communities. The Computed Tomography Department offers additional procedures that helps save and change lives daily.

Minimum Requirements
Education
- Associates Degree or higher in an Imaging related field or graduate from a 2-year imaging related program
- 3 years’ experience working in an Imaging Department
- ARRT certification in Radiography and advanced certification in CT
- SCRQSA
- BLS

- Bachelor's Degree or CRA
- 5 years' experience working in CT Department

Core Job Responsibilities
- Demonstrates knowledge and proficiency of all testing procedures in assigned departments
- Coordinates staff schedules, supplies, and effectively manages expenses and budget restraints
- Positively responds and implements change when needed
- Manages staff training, competency, and disciplinary action with consultation of manager
- Implements and maintains departmental quality control, develops and initiates QAPI projects
- Manages imaging equipment regarding service, regulatory and accreditation
- Follows, maintains and helps implement hospital and departmental policies and procedures
- Consistently communicates with patients, staff and physicians in a positive manner
- Knowledgeable of compliance and regulatory requirements and adheres to Federal, State, accrediting bodies, and standard practice of care for patients, staff, guests and facilities
- Proficient in computer related tasks and systems and be able to teach these skills
- Responsible for updating, maintaining and training new procedures and protocols
- Other duties as requested by manager
- May be assigned to cover additional shifts as required to meet departmental needs
