Position Summary
The Precision Medicine Supervisor works collaboratively across clinical, research, and laboratory teams to define, assess, and operationalize molecular testing. They plan, organize, and direct the activities of the technical and non-technical personnel to provide optimal, cost-effective delivery of services according to department standards of quality, productivity, and performance. Provide subject matter expertise in the implementation and usage of Precision Medicine molecular data and support the Molecular Tumor Board. Coordinate vendor and payer relationships, process improvement projects as well as develop and maintain quality control measures.

Position Summary

Minimum Requirements
Education
- Associates Degree in Health Science related field
- At least 2 years post-degree experience of working with molecular testing and oncology including demonstrated knowledge of emerging molecular technologies, hematology, and histology.
- Capable of highly independent work as well as being a team player.
- Ability to work closely with a diverse group of individuals, from patients to physicians, and including industry and academics.
- Excellent oral, written and customer service skills.

Preferred Education
- Bachelor of Science Degree
- Four plus years’ experience in public health or non-profit administration, health administrative services or other health professional services
- MLA (ASCP)
- Oversee day-to-day activities of the PMP, coordinate operations with the clinical laboratory, physicians, navigators, molecular testing vendors, and patients to ensure appropriate and timely test ordering and resulting for cancer care.
- Monitor the quality of the PMP molecular data.
- Strong organization and supervisory skills in developing and leading complex multi-disciplinary projects.
- Receives and reviews specific pathology to assist clinical staff with MPC prep.
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships with program management, team leaders, physicians, and clients.
- Engages in cross-training with team members to assist with coverage and back-up for the Precision Medicine Program and MPC process.
- Coordinates liquid Biopsies
- Handles rare molecular send out cases
- Assists in billing practices for molecular orders
- Performs quality checks on molecular send out and consult requests
- Maintains ordering/tracking/resulting spreadsheet for molecular tests
- Must possess reasonably high level of mental acuity with special attention to detail.
- Must be able to withstand the stress and demands of an active position.
