The Senior Manager, People Operations is a newly created role responsible for building and scaling operational excellence across a growing global organization. This position will own core HR operations infrastructure — including global payroll governance, benefits and retirement administration, HR systems, compliance workflows, audits, and workforce analytics — ensuring efficient, compliant, and data-driven people processes across multiple business units and geographies.
This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for an operator who can both execute and optimize. The successful candidate brings strong HR operations expertise, project management discipline, and analytical capability to drive continuous improvement and operational scalability.

Key Responsibilities
People Operations & Global Governance
- Oversee day-to-day HR operations across global entities, ensuring consistent and scalable processes
- Establish and maintain global payroll governance frameworks in partnership with Finance and external providers
- Ensure operational alignment across regions while meeting local compliance requirements
- Serve as an operational owner for core People processes and execution
- Oversee global payroll operations, vendor coordination, and payroll controls
- Manage U.S. and international benefits programs, including analysis and optimization
- Administer and oversee 401(k) and retirement plans, including vendor management and compliance coordination
- Support open enrollment execution, reporting, and cost analysis
- Partner with Finance on payroll accuracy, reconciliations, and reporting
- Act as functional owner for HR systems, including UKG and Deel
- Drive system configuration, integrations, data integrity, and process improvements
- Partner cross-functionally on ERP and systems integrations as needed
- Lead automation initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce manual work

- Design and maintain compliance workflows across the employee lifecycle
- Manage external audits, including payroll, benefits, and retirement plan audits.
- Complete annual compliance and reporting requirements, including coordination and preparation support for Form 5500 filings for benefits and 401(k)
- Ensure accurate documentation, recordkeeping, and regulatory compliance globally
- Partner with Legal and Finance to manage risk and maintain compliance standards
- Identify operational risks and implement scalable solutions
- Lead cross-functional People Operations initiatives and system implementations
- Support operational readiness during acquisitions, integrations, and organizational growth
- Standardize processes across business units while improving employee experience
Required
- 5 years of progressive HR Operations or People Operations experience
- Hands-on ownership of payroll, HRIS, benefits, and retirement administration
- Experience with UKG (UKG Ready or similar)
- Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills
- Experience supporting audits and compliance processes
- Demonstrated project management experience across cross-functional initiatives
- Strong operational mindset with attention to detail and process rigor
- Experience supporting global or multi-entity organizations
- Experience with Deel or global payroll/EOR platforms
- 401(k) administration and retirement plan compliance experience
- M&A integration or high-growth environment experience
