About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced Human Resources professional to support business leaders in developing and executing people strategies that contribute to organizational success. This role serves as a trusted advisor to management, helping align workforce planning, talent development, employee engagement, and compliance initiatives with broader business goals.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with senior HR leadership and operational teams to address workforce challenges, strengthen organizational effectiveness, and foster a positive, high-performing workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Partnership
- Partner with leaders across multiple business functions to provide guidance on workforce planning, organizational development, and employee-related matters.
- Support the implementation of people strategies that enable business objectives and operational performance.
- Identify workforce trends, organizational risks, and opportunities for improvement, recommending practical solutions where needed.
Talent Management & Employee Development
- Advise managers on performance management, succession planning, career development, and employee growth initiatives.
- Support annual performance review processes, compensation planning activities, and employee development programs.
- Encourage leadership participation in talent identification and future workforce planning.
- Assist in the design and delivery of learning and development initiatives that address organizational needs.
Recruitment & Workforce Planning
- Participate in hiring activities for professional and management-level positions.
- Support recruitment efforts, including candidate assessment, selection recommendations, and offer development.
- Contribute to early-career and campus recruitment programs as required.
Employee Relations & Compliance
- Provide guidance to managers on employee relations matters, performance concerns, and workplace issues.
- Ensure HR policies, procedures, and employment practices are applied consistently and in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external resources when addressing legal, regulatory, or workplace investigations.
Organizational Effectiveness
- Support change management, restructuring efforts, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Contribute to the development of workplace culture programs that promote collaboration, accountability, and inclusion.
- Work with HR colleagues to improve processes, streamline administrative activities, and share best practices across the organization.
Health, Safety & Environmental Commitment
- Champion a workplace culture that prioritizes employee wellbeing, safety, and environmental responsibility.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, and environmental standards and procedures.

This role regularly collaborates with executive leaders, department heads, managers, and HR professionals across the organization. The position requires the ability to establish credibility quickly, build productive partnerships, and deliver effective people-focused solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Candidate Profile
Education
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Preferred areas of study include Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related discipline.
Experience
- Approximately 5β7 years of progressively responsible experience in human resources, including HR business partnering or generalist responsibilities.
- Experience supporting industrial, manufacturing, construction, engineering, or similarly complex operational environments is advantageous.
- Previous exposure to both unionized and non-unionized workforces is highly desirable.
Technical Skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with enterprise HR or ERP systems such as SAP is beneficial.

- Ability to influence and support leaders at multiple organizational levels.
- Comfortable managing competing priorities and navigating organizational change.
- Willingness to travel occasionally (approximately 10%).
