Key Qualifications
- Valid SLPA license or certification required
- Previous experience in school settings preferred, though healthcare experience will also be considered
- Strong understanding of speech and language development in children
- Ability to adapt and pivot with shifting caseload demands
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
- Provide direct therapeutic support and interventions under the supervision of an SLP, following students’ IEP goals
- Assist with assessments and help in collecting data on student progress
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to integrate speech and language activities in the classroom
- Document and report on therapy sessions, maintaining compliance with school and regulatory guidelines
- Help adjust communication strategies based on the unique needs of each student
