Key Responsibilities
- Deliver individualized and group instruction tailored to the unique learning needs of students in a resource special education classroom.
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with educational standards and the students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching techniques to maximize learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and families to support student success.
- Utilize evidence-based reading programs; candidates with Wilson Reading training are preferred, though not mandatory.
- Maintain accurate records and participate in team meetings related to student performance and program development.
- Valid special education teaching certification.
- Experience working with middle school-aged students, preferably in a resource classroom environment.
- Familiarity with Wilson Reading or willingness to learn.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
