Qualifications & Experience Desired
- Valid state Special Education teaching certification
- Proven experience working in a school-based special education environment
- Comfortable providing in-person instruction and support; remote options are not available for these roles
- Ability to design, implement, and track Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with students, families, and fellow educators
- Experience managing diverse learner caseloads corresponding to either middle or elementary school populations
- Delivering tailored special education services to assigned caseload of students, either at the middle or elementary school level
- Developing, reviewing, and updating IEPs to ensure student progress and compliance with regulations
- Collaborating with teachers, support staff, and families to foster inclusive learning environments
- Documenting student milestones, challenges, and progress on a regular basis
- Engaging in team meetings and professional development relevant to special education and inclusion practices
- Adhering to district and state policies regarding special education
