Special Education Teacher - Colchester, Vermont

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification in VT and NC
• Experience working with elementary-aged children, preferably in school-based settings
• Understanding of diverse learning styles and individualized instructional approaches
• Strong collaborative and communication skills for partnering with multidisciplinary teams and families
• Ability to adapt to changing needs and implement IEP goals effectively

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, standards-based instruction tailored to a variety of learning needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Work closely with classroom teachers, aides, and support staff to create inclusive learning environments
• Foster positive, supportive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
• Track and report student progress, utilizing data to adjust interventions as needed
• Participate in team meetings, IEP reviews, and professional development workshops
