Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Middletown, Connecticut

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1 year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to cover a maternity leave from April 15 to June 11, serving students in grades 4-8. This contract role is based in Middletown, CT, and involves supporting students at intermediate and middle school levels.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing speech and language therapy services to students in a school setting
• Assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication disorders
• Collaborating with educators and families to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Maintaining detailed records and progress notes
• Participating in team meetings and professional development opportunities

Qualifications:

• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology is required
• Experience working in schools, preferably with upper elementary and middle school populations
• Knowledge of pediatric speech and language disorders
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
