Educational Interpreter - Commerce City, Colorado

Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1 year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications & Experience

• Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) with proven interpreting skills
• Experience working as a Sign Language Interpreter, preferably in an educational setting
• Knowledge of deaf culture and the unique needs of K-12 students
• Ability to provide clear, accurate interpretations between spoken English and ASL
• National or state interpreter certification (preferred)
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities
• Flexibility and adaptability in a school environment

• Interpret classroom instruction, activities, and school communications for deaf and hard-of-hearing students
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and specialists to support student learning
• Facilitate communication during meetings, extracurricular events, and assemblies as needed
