Qualifications
- Valid EIPA score of 3.5 or higher (required)
- Experience interpreting in K-12 settings, in both SPED and general education preferred
- Proficiency in American Sign Language
- Adaptability to serve multiple campuses and adjust quickly to new environments
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with teachers, support staff, and administrators
- Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
- Provide on-site sign language interpretation for students, staff, and family members
- Support a diverse range of students across different grade levels and abilities
- Work as an itinerant interpreter, traveling between multiple school sites based on daily needs
- Contribute to creating inclusive classrooms by assisting with both one-on-one and group interpretation
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as required
- Collaborate with educational teams to modify interpreting strategies as needed for individual students
