What you’ll do
- Plan, direct and supervise the maintenance program.
- Orient, instruct, supervise and work alongside other maintenance personnel.
- Assigns duties and evaluates work performance.
- Requisition supplies and equipment for use in department activities.
- Keep records of work performed and costs involved.
- Coordinate work of maintenance department with the mill.
- Advise and consult with management on maintenance and repair needs.
- Direct and/or perform duties concerned with maintenance of machinery.
- Be responsible for the care and use of supplies and maintenance equipment used in performance of duties
- Be able to keep adequate records.
- Able to take emergency calls and be on call as needed.
- Able to cooperate with other employees and customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned
What you’ll need
- High school graduate or graduate of a technical school.
- A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in maintenance.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting as well as PLC experience.
- Experience evaluating and training team members
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Ability to plan and carry out programs in repair or new construction and/or installation. Ability to direct others.
- Knowledge of record keeping and cost estimating.
- Knowledge of supplies and equipment used by maintenance department and the care of this equipment.
- Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with others.
